China Ocean University China Ocean University, referred to as Haida or China Ocean University (OUC), formerly known as private Qingdao University, was founded in 1924, and was renamed China Ocean University in 2002. The school is a key comprehensive university directly under the Ministry of Education, and one of the key universities under the national "985 Project" and "2 1 1 Project". Selected in 20 1 1 plan,1/plan, Arctic University Alliance, IAMRI Alliance and Ocean University Alliance. It is the first batch of units approved by the State Council Academic Degrees Committee with the right to award doctoral, master's and bachelor's degrees, the first batch of pilot universities for the reform of the national outstanding agricultural and forestry talents education and training plan and the outstanding engineer education and training plan, and ranks 33rd in the academic rankings of mainland universities in the world.
The school has jurisdiction over three campuses, namely Laoshan, Yushan and Fushan, with 17 colleges (departments), 1 basic teaching center, 1 social science department and 69 undergraduate majors. The school has 13 postdoctoral mobile stations, 13 first-class disciplines authorized by doctoral degrees and 34 first-class disciplines authorized by master's degrees. There are more than 45,700 students, including full-time doctoral students 1.700, master students/7,200, undergraduates 1.5400, international students/900, in-service graduate students 1.500.
