Fang Fengfu, a native of Zhongxian, Chongqing, was born in September 1937. He is currently a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts of Chongqing Southwest University, a member of China Artists Association, an art consultant of the United Nations Artists Association, the director of the Painting and Calligraphy Sculpture Professional Committee of China Cultural Relics Society, the director of the Tourism Friendship Center of China Artists Association, the director of the China International Painting and Calligraphy Research Association, and the honorary president of Beijing Pangu Art and Calligraphy Institute.

He is good at China's flower-and-bird painting, and has studied under Professor Li, Li, Li, Li, Li, Li, Li and Li. He absorbed the strengths of major painters and established his own family. As early as 1950s, he entered the Music Department of Southwest Normal University (now Southwest University) to study music as a junior candidate in Sanhe Middle School in Zhongxian County. One year after the change of voice, he transferred to the Fine Arts Department to study plastic arts (five-year junior college). 1960, a serious natural disaster occurred in our country, and the school leaders asked him to graduate early and stay in school. Engaged in administrative work in the department of fine arts, first in the department office, then in the reference room (in fact, engaged in some odd jobs unrelated to the major), 1976+00 officially took up his teaching post in June, engaged in his dream art teaching work. In the early 1960s, natural disasters occurred frequently in China. 1960 in the second half of the year, the school transferred Fang Fengfu to engage in productive labor and participated in various physical activities at school during the day, which made him physically and mentally exhausted. In the evening, he was sent to look after the pigsty (the night watchman for short, to prevent pigs from being stolen). He slept with pigs for more than four months (1960 10 to 196 12) and felt a lot. In the winter night, accompanied by pigs, the cold wind roared, the dung smelled everywhere, and the wind and the moon knew each other. The past is hard to remember, but you remember it clearly. Fang Fengfu has just stayed in school, and has no social status and right to speak in the Fine Arts Department, so he is marginalized. 196 1 March, 2008, was sent to work in Xishan Ping Farm in Chongqing (the notebook was originally marked with an attached teacher, but the name was changed and it was required to be replaced). At that time, many people looked down on him, and an old professor even said, "Fang Fengfu is not the material for painting, but only a labor force at most." . This gentleman's remarks are too blunt and mean for a young teaching assistant who has stayed in school for a short time, which is detrimental to people's self-esteem. It was this sentence that completely stimulated his soul. From then on, I made up my mind to make some achievements and do something to prove that I am a plastic material in the field of painting. During the Cultural Revolution (Southwest Normal University moved to Liangping and Zhongxian respectively), at the criticism and self-criticism meeting held by Zhongxian Fine Arts Department, the old professor knelt in front of Fang Fengfu to admit his mistake and asked him to forgive him. Fang Fengfu said: No need, people should have dignity. Don't do this. He immediately picked up the old gentleman and said: "I don't hate you, but I want to thank you for sending me this sentence. It inspires and spurs me to study harder, study harder and be a better person. "

Because Fang Fengfu has only been transferred from the Music Department to the Fine Arts Department for two and a half years, his knowledge is narrow, his foundation is weak, his skills are poor, and he has no creative ability. In order to make up for his serious lack of professional knowledge and Chinese painting skills, he humbly learned from the old teachers in the department and often copied Mr. Su's template paintings. From 1962 to 1964 in the first half of the year, for more than two years, Fang Fengfu shut himself in a distribution room less than 20 square meters almost every night, which was both his dormitory and his studio. Here, regardless of the severe winter and heat, I am hungry and burn the midnight oil, and have written more than 200 fine paintings by famous artists such as Su Baozhen, Zhang Shuqi, Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing. Mainly based on Mr. Su Baozhen's paintings, in which he spent six Sundays and six nights completely copying a giant flower-and-bird painting masterpiece "Flower and Bird" created by Su Baozhen (referred to as "Hundred Birds Picture") (it is a blessing to be well preserved now). This painting is nine and a half pieces of rice paper, with hundreds of birds and dozens of flowers. Very wonderful (Su Baozhen's original painting was burnt down during the Cultural Revolution). This painting has become a precious work, and it also shows Fang Fengfu's copying ability and basic skills when he was young.

At that time, the relevant leaders of the Fine Arts Department knew that Fang Fengfu was learning flower-and-bird painting from Su Baozhen, so they appointed cadres and students to supervise him and refused to let him learn from him. It is said that Su Baozhen was an intellectual in the old society and had historical problems. We should prevent him from corrupting young people and ask him to draw a clear line with him. You can imagine how difficult it was for him to teach himself painting at that time. At that time, he was very upset, lonely, silent and seldom spoke. His heart is trembling, his thoughts are extremely contradictory, and he is faced with both internal and external pressures. In order to learn painting secretly, in order to hide people's eyes and ears. After dinner, he usually goes to the piano room of the music department to practice playing the piano. Just after 10, I quietly and hurriedly returned to the symbolic power distribution hut with a flashlight or by the starry sky. A person, silently learning all kinds of template paintings. Fang Fengfu didn't go home once during the five-year winter and summer vacations (but he was homesick all the time). I asked teacher Fang what the reason was. He was silent for a while and said: As a remote and poor peasant child, one is that he has no money, and the other is that he wants to make up more lessons and study more during the holidays. Then take part in some social work at school and earn some money to subsidize the family. This is his real idea, long-term and artistic.

Heaven rewards diligence. At that time, Fang Fengfu was young and full of passion. He only sleeps for more than three hours every night, and often stays up all night.
