1966, born in August in Wuhan, Hubei. 1988 Graduated from the Department of Chemical Engineering, Hankou Branch, Huazhong Institute of Technology; 1999 graduated from Huazhong university of science and technology with a master's degree in chemistry; In 2002, he graduated from the Department of Chemistry and Polymer Science, Stellbosch University, South Africa, and received his doctorate (under Professor Ron D. Sanderson). 1988- 1999 worked in the state key industrial base of carbon monoxide catalyst and gas purifier of Hubei Institute of Chemistry, engaged in the research and industrial application of fertilizer catalyst. From 2002 to 2004, he worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the Master Center of the University of Colorado (under Professor Alan Glynn Berg).

Since 2004, he has been employed by tianjin polytechnic university, and now he is the director, professor and doctoral supervisor of tianjin polytechnic university Institute of Materials and Chemical Engineering, and a member of the Academic Committee of the Key Laboratory of Hollow Fiber Membrane Materials and Process Education. He has served as a reviewer of international journals J. Membrane Science, Seawater Desalination, International Journal of Pharmacy and Journal of Environmental Science (English version) respectively.
