The Medical College of Wuhan University of Science and Technology was founded in 1958, and was renamed by Wuhan Iron and Steel Medical College and Wuhan Metallurgical Medical College several times. 1995 Our institute and the Ministry of Metallurgy merged Wuhan Institute of Iron and Steel and Wuhan Institute of Metallurgical Construction in Han to form Wuhan University of Metallurgical Technology. 1999 was named Medical College of Wuhan University of Science and Technology.
