First, it is convenient to reissue identity documents. If you don't move your household registration, students will have to go back to their hometown to reissue their identity documents once they lose them at school. Moreover, if you want to take a driver's license test, students who have moved out of their registered permanent residence can apply directly, while students who have not moved out of their registered permanent residence must apply for a temporary residence permit before they can apply.

Second, enjoy the treatment of local residents. Some big cities stipulate that only residents with local hukou can buy a house locally. Therefore, if students are admitted to universities in first-and second-tier cities and plan to buy a house in the local area after graduation, it is best to move their hukou when they are in college.

Third, it is convenient to take the public examination. In some cities, the civil service examination requires a local hukou, otherwise you will not be able to register for the local civil service examination. Therefore, if you plan to take the examination of local civil servants, you'd better move your household registration.

Fourth, it is easy to find a job. This mainly depends on whether the students themselves are willing to stay and work in the local area. If they don't plan to stay in the local area for a long time, then they don't have to move their hukou in order to find a job. If they plan to stay and work in the local area for a long time, they will move their hukou.

Materials and procedures to be prepared for university transfer:

1, household registration book, ID card, admission notice, get ready, go to the household registration section of the police station where the household registration is located, and go through the formalities for the transfer certificate in registered permanent residence.

2. The household registration certificate (or household registration card) is limited to me, and the official seal of the public security organ is complete. The name, date of birth, nationality and ID number on the household registration certificate must be exactly the same as my resident ID card, and there can be no homophones and variant characters. The name on the account transfer certificate must also be the same as that on the admission notice. The column of native place and birthplace on the migration certificate must be filled in to the province (city) and county, and the handwriting on the migration certificate must be clear.

3. If you have not transferred your account when you enter school, you may not apply for transfer again during school. After the registered permanent residence moves into the school, it is not allowed to move out during the study period.

4. The validity period of the account migration certificate is generally not more than one month (30 days), and it can be handled at the household registration police station within the validity period as needed.

5. Apply for a household registration certificate before the start of school. After the start of school, the school will organize students to move to registered permanent residence in a unified way.
