The Lushun Campus of Dalian International Studies University was completed in March 2008 and is now the main campus.

Dalian International Studies University is located in Dalian, Liaoning Province. It is a provincial university in Liaoning Province and the only public foreign language university in Northeast China. The school has two campuses, Lushun Campus and Zhongshan Campus, with a total area of 1.26 1.5 million square meters, a building area of 4.731.08 million square meters, teaching, scientific research and auxiliary rooms 1.585 million square meters, and the library has paper books/kloc-0.

The school was founded in 1964 under the kind care of Premier Zhou Enlai, and was later named Dalian Japanese College; 1970 was renamed Liaoning Foreign Studies College; 1974 offered undergraduate education; 1978 was renamed Dalian Foreign Studies University; 20 13 was renamed Dalian Foreign Studies University.
