1, Beijing University of Chinese Medicine

Beijing University of Chinese Medicine is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC), featuring the discipline of Chinese medicine. It is one of the key construction institutions of "2 1 1 Project" and "985 Engineering Superiority Discipline Innovation Platform" and was selected as "1/Plan".

Founded in 1956 and formerly known as Beijing College of Chinese Medicine, the school is one of the earliest institutions of higher learning of Chinese medicine in New China. 1993 was renamed Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, and merged with Beijing College of Acupuncture and Orthopaedics in 2000 to form a new Beijing University of Chinese Medicine.

2. Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine

Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, formerly known as Shanghai College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, was founded in 1956. It is one of the first four universities of traditional Chinese medicine established in China after the birth of New China, and it is also the only university with key medical characteristics in Shanghai.

1993 Shanghai College of Traditional Chinese Medicine was renamed "Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine" and merged with the former Shanghai Medical College in 2000. In 2003, the school moved to Zhangjiang High-tech Park in Pudong, which has become an important part of Zhangjiang Medicine Valley.
