At the same time, the laboratory is the main member of the school structural test center, which is a large-scale engineering structural laboratory with a test hall area exceeding 1000 square meters. The main equipment and devices are static platform (33× 4× 1.8m), dynamic platform (20× 10× 1.8m), bearing capacity 1000t-m and reaction wall1(9×). The laboratory is a member of the International Conference on Model Ship Test Pool (ITTC). The use area is about 3600 square meters. Senior engineer 1 person, engineer 1 person, 2 assistant engineers and 8 workers. The ship model test pool is 175 meters long, 6 meters wide and 4 meters deep, which is the longest ship model pool in the university system at present. The trailer in the boat pool can reach the maximum speed of 8m/s, and is equipped with surface and underwater resistance meters, propeller power meters, airworthiness instruments, six-unit microcomputer-controlled surge tank wave generators, flow field measuring devices and other equipment and instruments. It can be used in computer sampling processing, ship model resistance, self-propulsion, flow field test, seakeeping test, ocean engineering and other related tests.
