Yulin university, with a history of nearly a hundred years, was first founded in 1923. It was originally the Fourth Normal School of Shaanxi Province, and was later renamed Suide Branch of xi Normal University.

1960 was promoted to Suide Teachers College, and 1962 was closed. 1978, Yulin Professional Department of Shaanxi Normal University was established in the former site of Suide Normal School. 1983, the school moved from Suide to Yulin City.

Yulin university is also striving to become a "university". As early as eight years ago, that is, in 20 13, the Shaanxi Provincial Party Committee and the provincial government issued the Opinions on Further Supporting Yulin's Sustainable Development, proposing to "promote yulin university to be upgraded to yulin university".

20 16 in order to support the development of yulin university, six universities including xi Jiaotong University, Northwest A&F University, Shaanxi Normal University, Northwest University, Xi 'an University of Science and Technology and Xi Youshi University supported the construction of yulin university.

On July 17 this year, yulin university held the 20021Catch-up and Leap-Forward Promotion Meeting, which clearly pointed out that in 2023, the school will celebrate its centenary, and it will also welcome the best opportunity to enter the university. On the centennial anniversary, schools should do their best to build universities. It can be seen that yulin university is likely to be upgraded to a "university" in 2023.
