Two books on modern female psychology
Since April, 2006, Gansu Xinhua Bookstore, national university libraries and online bookstores have added two books on female psychology. One is Psychoanalysis School and the Development of Female Psychology (265,438+00,000 words, Lanzhou University Press, April 2006), and the other is Introduction to Modern Female Psychology (370,000 words, China Archives Publishing House, May 2007). These two books are the cooperative works of Zhang Haizhong, a professor in the Department of Education of Hexi College in Gansu Province (formerly Zhangye Teachers College, 200 1 transformed into an undergraduate college), a part-time master tutor in the Department of Psychology of Northwest Normal University, and his graduate students. The establishment of the branch of female psychology by the American Psychological Association marks that female psychology, as an independent discipline, entered the historical stage of western psychology in the 1970s. In 1980s, the research on female psychology in China started. During the period of 10, psychologists in China published the Psychology of Adolescent Gender Difference by Fu Anqiu, the Psychology of Women by Ren Ping and Zhao Yanping, the Psychology of Modern Women by Wang Jisheng, and the Psychology of Women by Ge Lujia and Ankie Lau. At the same time, it also translated a number of foreign female psychology, such as Japanese psychologist Tadashi Hattori's Female Psychology, American psychologist Janet Hiberray Hayden's Female Psychology, American psychologist Eileen Hiberray Fraser's Women and Gender Roles, and American J.A. Sherman and F.L. Denmark's Female Psychology, translated by Gao Jia and Gao Di.

From the 1990s to the early 20th century, not only a number of foreign monographs and textbooks on female psychology were further translated and introduced, but also the works of domestic psychologists gradually increased. Like Claire Rhea. E Taugh and Judith Bridges, Su et al. translated Psychology of Women, Dennis Whitley et al. in the United States, translated Psychology of Successful Women, Qian's Psychology of Gender Differences, Sha Lianxiang's Development of Women and Role Conflict in China, etc. At the same time, some non-psychology majors such as folklore, culture and sociology, and even female theorists have made scattered research on women's studies, including women's pedagogy, women's ethics and women's sociology, which has also promoted psychologists' consciousness of studying women's psychology. Although psychologists in China have not yet formed a comprehensive understanding of the structure of women's psychological system, there are several works in China that have made valuable explorations. Looking at CNKI, there are more and more papers about female psychology or gender difference psychology in recent years, especially the introduction and research of feminist psychology by young psychologists represented by Dr. YeHaoSheng, which shows that female psychology has become an important psychological field concerned by mainstream psychologists.

However, we have to point out that female psychology has just started in China, and there are still many problems to be studied. To make women's psychology develop healthily, we must strengthen basic theoretical research, and to achieve outstanding achievements, we must first evaluate and sort out women's psychological thoughts in classical psychology. Psychoanalysis School and the Development of Female Psychology is a book that sorts out and studies female psychological thoughts in modern schools of psychology. According to the postscript, the first draft of this 2 10000-word book was formed in 1992 and has gone through 15 years of data collection. The book systematically combs and studies the female psychological thoughts of the representatives of psychoanalysis. There are both evaluations from the perspective of the discipline construction of women's psychology and considerations from the perspective of the overall development of women's studies; There are not only comparative studies on female psychological thoughts of classical psychoanalysis and neo-psychoanalysis, but also comparative comments on female psychological thoughts of psychoanalysis and modern schools of psychology, such as cognitive psychology, cultural anthropology and social learning theory. This paper not only scientifically evaluates the psychological thoughts of psychoanalysis by Marxist epistemology and dialectical methods, but also demonstrates and refutes the achievements of modern and contemporary general psychology, social psychology, personality psychology and developmental psychology, and puts forward psychological thinking on the development of contemporary women's personality. Professor Wan Minggang, director of the Chinese Psychological Society, assistant to the president of Northwest Normal University, dean of the School of Education and doctoral supervisor, commented in the preface that "this is a very valuable academic monograph". After the publication of Psychoanalysis School and the Development of Female Psychology, Professor Hai Zhong was the editor-in-chief and organized graduate students to complete the Introduction to Modern Female Psychology in one year. This book is formed on the basis of collecting and sorting out the research results of female psychology in psychology in the past 0/00 years. Including Historical Review of Female Psychology (written by Zhang Haizhong), Modern Western Women's schools of psychology (written by Zhang Haizhong and Zhao), Brief Introduction of Women's Physiological and Psychological Research Achievements (written by Zhang Haizhong and Luo Yuan), Characteristics of Women's Psychological Function (written by Shao), Characteristics of Women's Psychological Development (written by Zhao Jing), Women's Personality and Mental Health (written by Cai) The psychological characteristics of women's success (book), the psychological characteristics of women's crime (Zhao,) and the psychological outlook of contemporary women (Zhao,). The outstanding feature of this book is that it systematically discusses all aspects of female psychology, puts forward the localization of female psychology, puts forward the research direction of rural female psychology in China, and evaluates the right and wrong of the current popular feminist psychology. Although the author's writing style is not consistent, it is a good textbook for psychology, sociology and women's studies in colleges and universities, and also a monograph with important academic value.

In the past two years, Professor Hai Zhong has not only led the graduate students of Northwest Normal University to devote themselves to the research of women's psychology, but also organized some young teachers in the Psychology Department of Education Department of Hexi University to carry out the research of local psychology and cross-cultural psychology in China, and published many papers. As Hai Zhong's classmates and academic colleagues, we hope Hai Zhong can continue to work hard in the fields of psychology and education that he is interested in and produce higher-level results.
