Yangzhou University is located in Yangzhou City, Jiangsu Province. It is a comprehensive key university jointly established by Jiangsu Provincial People's Government and Ministry of Education. It is one of the first batch of doctoral and master's degree awarding units in China. This is the first joint university in China. It was praised as "a banner of China University reform" by the central leadership.
