What are the majors of Vancouver University in British Columbia?
British Columbia University of Science and Technology (BCIT), located in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, is a public institution providing applied technology and higher education.

Founded in 1964, BCIT is the largest comprehensive applied university in Canada. BCIT consists of transportation branch, computer branch, manufacturing and electronic machinery branch, health science branch, business school, construction engineering and environment branch, distance education branch, teaching and learning center, postgraduate branch and applied research center, with more than 400 majors and directions. BCIT has more than 2,000 faculty members, including a double-qualified teacher. BCIT currently has about 55,000 students and a total annual budget of 220 million Canadian dollars.

The teaching mode of BCIT includes academic education and non-academic education. Through full-time courses, part-time courses and distance courses, the organic connection of certificate, diploma and degree education can be realized. Students can register for a certificate or diploma course before completing a degree course. Academic education includes junior college, undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Authorized by the Ministry of Higher Education, BCIT can award junior college diplomas, bachelor's degrees in technology, master's degrees in application and honorary doctorates. Non-academic education includes various industry and post certificate courses, such as international freight forwarders and international interior decorators.

BCIT has been widely praised and welcomed by enterprises and society. More and more Canadian industrial and commercial enterprises regard BCIT graduates as the first choice when recruiting key technical and management talents.

Among the freshmen enrolled by BCIT every year, 40% are graduates and transfer students from other universities. The Confucius Institute at BCIT is a joint venture between BCIT and Hanban, China, and is located in downtown Vancouver. It is a comprehensive cultural and language promotion and exchange center.
