Mathematical modeling competition of college students' science and technology cup

The "Science and Technology Cup" Mathematical Modeling Competition for College Students is an event for graduate students, undergraduates and junior college students organized by Hong Kong Higher Education Press, United Industrial Applied Mathematics Research Institute (Hong Kong) and International Federation of Business Students (Hong Kong Special Administrative Region).

Introduction to the competition: It aims to improve students' comprehensive quality, enhance their innovative consciousness, cultivate their innovative consciousness and ability to solve practical problems by using mathematical methods and computer technology, further popularize mathematical modeling education, stimulate students' enthusiasm for learning mathematics, and increase their opportunities to participate in mathematical modeling activities. The "Science and Technology Cup" mathematical modeling competition for college students is divided into two competitions every year. The first half of each year is the preliminary competition of "Science and Technology Cup" (late February and early April), and the second half is the international final of "Science and Technology Cup" (early June and early August), which has been successfully held for nine consecutive years.

Participants: graduate students, undergraduates and junior college students can participate, distinguishing different groups.

Competition time: There are four competitions, namely provincial competition for non-enterprise proposition (late April), provincial competition for enterprise proposition (late May), national competition for non-enterprise proposition (late June) and national competition for enterprise proposition (late August).

Award setting: Take part in the national competition from the first prize in each division, and select the national first, second and third prizes, accounting for about 20% of the number of participating teams in the country, and select several provincial first, second and third prizes and merit prizes in each division.
