Beijing Technology and Business University (hereinafter referred to as Beijing Technology and Business University) is a key research university in Beijing, and a doctoral degree awarding unit. It has been selected into the education and training program of outstanding agricultural and forestry talents, the scholarship receiving institution of China government for overseas students in China, and the high-tech discipline construction project of Beijing universities.
He is a member of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei University Business Collaborative Innovation Alliance, the initiator of the National Regional Financial Forum, the director of the China Financial Annual Meeting, and the first university in China whose major in food science and engineering has passed the international double certification of the American Food Science and Technology Association and the International Food Science and Technology Alliance.
The school was formed by the merger of Beijing Institute of Light Industry, Beijing Business School and Machinery Industry Management Cadre College on June 1999. Beijing University of Commerce, formerly known as the All-China Federation of Supply and Marketing Cooperatives Cadre School, was established in 1950 and the Central Commercial Cadre School in 1953.
Central Business School was founded in 1959, and 1960 was renamed Beijing Business School. It is the earliest business school established in New China, and the first batch of master's degree awarding units approved by the State Council, which successively belong to the Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of Internal Trade.
Founded in 1958, Beijing Institute of Light Industry is the earliest institution of higher learning in light industry in China, which has successively been subordinate to the Ministry of Light Industry and China Light Industry Federation. Machinery Industry Management Cadre College was established in 1982, which belongs to the Ministry of Machinery Industry.
