"Now college students have become one of the main forces in keeping pets. Due to improper feeding of college students, there are more and more stray animals, and even some incidents of dog abuse on campus have occurred from time to time." Du Fan, President of public welfare alliance and China Animal Protection Association and President of Wuhan Small Animal Protection Association, is the main planner of this event. 12 years' experience in animal voluntary protection has made him know a lot about college students' keeping pets. He introduced that whenever summer comes, the number of stray dogs and cats in many colleges and universities will multiply.
Du Fan issued an initiative through the media: Please don't keep pets on campus. If you already have a pet, it is recommended to deal with it properly, such as finding a new owner with stable conditions and not throwing it away at will.
Du Fan also reminded that if you see stray animals on campus, it is best to take the initiative to contact social love organizations and send them to shelter if possible; If there are no conditions, please ask professionals to sterilize the small animals first to avoid breeding more stray animals.
