Guanghua University. Chenghua Road got its name from the history of Southwestern University of Finance and Economics, beginning with Guanghua University founded by 1925 in Shanghai. 1938 School moved westward due to the Anti-Japanese War. In February 1946, Guanghua University Chengdu Branch was officially renamed as Chenghua University, becoming a brother school in the same strain as Shanghai Guanghua University.
