The College of Animal Science and Technology of Anhui Agricultural University was formerly the animal husbandry and veterinary major of Anhui Agricultural University. 1959 was set up independently. 1994 was renamed as College of Animal Husbandry and Fisheries, and in 2004 it was renamed as College of Animal Science and Technology.

There are 1 postdoctoral mobile stations in animal husbandry, 2 doctoral programs in animal genetics and breeding and animal pathogen biology, 12 master programs in animal husbandry and veterinary medicine, and 3 undergraduate programs in animal science, animal medicine and aquaculture.

Among them, animal science major is "national comprehensive reform pilot", animal medicine major is "national characteristic demonstration major", "Anhui province high-level university construction", and aquaculture major is "Anhui province comprehensive reform pilot". There are currently faculty members 106 in our hospital, including 3 professors1person, 32 associate professors and 3 senior experimenters.
