Liaoning University of Engineering Science was founded in 1949, formerly known as Fuxin Mining Institute. It is one of the two national key universities directly under the former Ministry of Coal Industry and a first-class university construction university in Liaoning Province. The school was jointly established by the Liaoning Provincial Government and the Emergency Management Department, and has been selected as one of the universities implementing the National Innovative Experimental Plan for College Students.
