Beijing university of chemical technology University of Chemical Technology is a multi-disciplinary national key university featuring chemical engineering, directly under China Renmin University and the Ministry of Education. Founded in 1958 and formerly known as Beijing Institute of Chemical Technology, the school is a high-level university established in New China to "cultivate advanced chemical talents needed by cutting-edge science and technology". 1960 was listed as the first batch of national key construction universities in the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China; 1994 changed its name to beijing university of chemical technology.
