China University of Science and Technology, located in Hefei, Anhui Province, is a national key university directly under the China Academy of Sciences, focusing on cutting-edge science and high technology, as well as medicine, characteristic management and humanities. The central government is directly in charge of the establishment of the deputy ministerial level, which is jointly established by the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Ministry of Education and Anhui Province.
Ranked as "Double Class", "985 Project" and "2 1 1 Project", and selected as "Everest Plan", "Strong Foundation Plan", "1/Plan" and "201/kloc". The first batch of degree-authorized independent audit institutions, members of the nine major alliances, the China University Presidents Association, the Pacific Rim University Alliance, the International Applied Science and Technology Development Cooperation Network, and the East Asian Research University Association.
The school consists of 23 colleges (including 6 colleges focusing on the integration of science and education), 33 departments, International Finance College, Advanced Technology College and the First Affiliated Hospital of University of Science and Technology of China. There are 12 national scientific research institutions, 4 national major scientific and technological infrastructures and 62 provincial and ministerial key scientific research institutions.
