The industry status and reputation of the two universities are quite different. Beijing university of chemical technology's strong disciplines, such as chemical engineering, are top-notch in China and well-known in the United States and Japan. Therefore, Beihua University's employment, postgraduate entrance examination, going abroad and other chemical industries have advantages over the bio-polymers of Soviet University. In recent years, a high proportion of undergraduates in strong disciplines in Beihua University have been sent to Tsinghua Chinese Academy of Sciences.
