Liu Fang Campus of Wuhan Institute of Technology is an undergraduate public university.

Wuhan Institute of Technology was founded in June, 1972, formerly known as Hubei Institute of Chemical Technology and Petroleum, under the jurisdiction of Hubei Province. 1980 In March, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, it was renamed Wuhan Institute of Chemical Technology and changed to the former head of the Chemical Industry Department. 1July, 998, with the adjustment of the management system of colleges and universities, the school was placed under the management of Hubei Province, which was jointly established by the central and local governments and mainly managed by Hubei Province. In the same year, the school passed the undergraduate teaching qualification assessment of the Ministry of Education and obtained the right to award master's degrees. In February 2006, with the approval of the Ministry of Education and the Hubei Provincial People's Government, it was officially renamed Wuhan Institute of Technology.
