On February 24th, Professor Jia Lin, Party Secretary and Vice President of Law School, and his party went to Miyun County People's Procuratorate to attend the appointment ceremony of Professor Feng Jun as Deputy Procurator-General and the unveiling ceremony of the teaching practice base. Professor Han Yusheng, Professor Xie, Deputy Secretary Zheng, Associate Professor Pan Wenjun, Associate Professor Song Biao, Associate Professor Li Fenfei, Associate Professor Qiao Peng and Associate Professor Xing Shu attended the ceremony. Comrade Chen Ping, Party Secretary and Procurator-General of Miyun County People's Procuratorate, attended the ceremony, and the heads of relevant departments attended the ceremony. Comrade Wang Jichuan, member of the party group and deputy procurator-general, presided over the ceremony. Comrade Chen Ping first read out the decision on the appointment of the Standing Committee of Miyun County People's Congress, and appointed Comrade Feng Jun as the Deputy Procurator-General of Miyun County People's Procuratorate and a member of the Supervisory Committee. Subsequently, the opening ceremony of the teaching experimental base was held, and the two sides signed and exchanged cooperation agreements. Lin Jia, the secretary and vice president, presented Comrade Chen Ping with a plaque of the teaching practice base and a commemorative card of cooperation.
In their speeches, Secretary Lin Jia and Vice President spoke highly of Professor Feng Jun's research on human governance and congratulated him. She said that the Law School would support Professor Feng Jun's procuratorial practice and hoped that Professor Feng Jun would contribute to the development of both sides. Jia Lin, secretary and vice president, pointed out that the two ceremonies are of great significance to the NPC Law School and Miyun County People's Procuratorate. For a long time, the two sides have maintained good cooperative relations. Law school always pays attention to improving the quality of personnel training and is committed to training students who meet the needs of the development of the country's rule of law. The establishment of a teaching practice base with Miyun Procuratorate to build a bridge between classroom teaching and judicial practice will provide convenient conditions for students' internship and employment.
Professor Feng Jun then delivered a short speech, thanking Miyun Procuratorate for its trust and support to NPC Law School, and expressed his determination to work actively and live up to the trust of both parties with "three things that cannot be done" and "three things that must be done".
In the subsequent free exchange session, prosecutors and scholars made speeches and exchanged views on police education and training, guidance and exchange of experts and scholars, students' visits and internships, employment recruitment and publicity, etc.
Comrade Chen Ping, Party Secretary and Procurator-General of Miyun County People's Procuratorate, said in his concluding speech that the appointment of Professor Feng Jun as Deputy Procurator-General and the establishment of the teaching practice base of Renmin University of China Law School are two major events and happy events for Miyun County People's Procuratorate.
