About Sun Yat-sen University:
Sun Yat-sen University is the highest institution of learning in South China and a national key comprehensive research university. In order to achieve the strategic goal of building a world-renowned high-level university, we must seek new development space outside Lekang Park. Finally, I chose Zhuhai, a coastal city with beautiful environment.
Sun Yat-sen University was founded in 1924, formerly known as National Guangdong University, and was founded by Dr. Sun Yat-sen after integrating Guangdong Normal University, Guangzhou University of Public Law and Guangdong Kilometer Agricultural College. Later, it was renamed as "National Sun Yat-sen University" and "National First Sun Yat-sen University", and its research institute was established in 1935. In 2006, it was 10.
Sun Yat-sen University is a national "985 Project" university and a key university under "2 1 1 Project". The Ministry of Education approved the establishment of 56 universities with graduate schools, 34 universities with independent marking of graduate entrance examinations, and 32 key construction universities at the deputy ministerial level. It is a comprehensive key university including humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, technical sciences, engineering, medicine, pharmacy, economy and management.
Zhuhai will provide Sun Yat-sen University with 3.428 square kilometers of land in Tangjiawan and the original school buildings and supporting facilities of Zhuhai University (to be built) free of charge, which will be permanently used and managed by Sun Yat-sen University.
