Henan University, called He Da for short, is located in Kaifeng City, Henan Province, China, a world famous historical and cultural city and the ancient capital of the Eight Dynasties. 19 12 A group of Henan educators, represented by Mr. Lin, founded the Henan Preparatory School for Studying in the United States in the former site of Kaifeng National Gong Yuan in the Qing Dynasty, which became one of the three major training bases for studying abroad in China at that time, with a history of one hundred years.
After the founding of New China, the Agricultural College, Medical College and Administrative College of Henan University were independently established as Henan Agricultural College, Henan Medical College and Henan Cadre Management College. Later, the Department of Water Conservancy and Finance was transferred to Wuhan University and Zhongnan University of Economics and Law.
A hundred years of vicissitudes, a hundred years of glory. Adhering to the school motto of "Ming De Xin Min, stop at perfection", Henan University has developed into a comprehensive university with 12 disciplines such as literature, science, economics, management, law, medicine, teaching and art. In 2008, it became a university approved by the Ministry of Education, and the Henan Provincial People's Government and the Ministry of Education signed an agreement to establish Henan University. It is this century-old prestigious school that has experienced vicissitudes that has ushered in new development opportunities. The training was held in the School of Physics and Electronics of Henan University. School of Physics and Electronics, formerly the Department of Physics, was founded in 1923 and rebuilt in 1959. In order to meet the needs of professional development and discipline construction, it was reorganized into the Institute of Physics and Information Optoelectronics in 2002, and moved from Minglun Campus of Henan University to Jin Ming Campus in 2003. In 2006, it was renamed School of Physics and Electronics, and 20 12 was selected in Henan.
Physics, electronic science and technology, optical engineering and other disciplines owned by the college are the key (characteristic advantages) disciplines in Henan Province. It has a postdoctoral research station and a doctoral program in condensed matter physics.
The college has the training base of the key laboratory of photoelectric materials and devices of the Ministry of Education, the key laboratory of photovoltaic materials in Henan Province and the open laboratory of key disciplines of photoelectric information materials and devices in Henan Province.
