Do parents have the obligation to raise their children during college?
Legal analysis: it is not a legal obligation for parents to bear maintenance during college. According to the law, parents have the obligation to support, educate and protect minors. However, students who enter the university are generally adults, and they have the ability to work and get a source of livelihood, and their parents do not have to bear it.

Legal basis: Article 1067 of the Civil Code of People's Republic of China (PRC) states that minor children or adult children who cannot live independently have the right to ask their parents to pay alimony. Parents who fail to perform their maintenance obligations, lack the ability to work or have difficulties in life have the right to ask their adult children to pay alimony.
