Requirements for applying for postgraduate courses at the Chinese University of Hong Kong
On the whole, the application for postgraduate entrance examination in Hong Kong schools is less difficult than that in the Mainland. Of course, if you want to apply for a business course at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, it is not easy. Every year, a bunch of 985/2 1 1 high flyers apply for the top three business courses in Hong Kong. Therefore, if you want to apply for Hong Kong Chinese business courses, you must have a hard background, such as 985/2 16544. Some business majors in HKU will require GRE/GMAT scores.

There are two kinds of graduate students in Hong Kong, MSC/MA and MPhil, that is, teaching-oriented master and research-oriented master. The teaching-oriented master is employment-oriented, so the time is generally 1 year, and you can graduate after completing the credits. Research-oriented masters are oriented to scientific research and academic research. If you plan to take the road of scientific research/scholarship in the future, you must choose to study MPhil.

Undergraduate background: According to our previous application experience, the application difficulty of Chinese University of Hong Kong is a little lower than that of Hong Kong University, but it is also biased towards students of 985/2 1 1. The application difficulty of undergraduate background is basically double negative > 21> 985, undergraduate and adult courses have little chance to apply for Hong Kong Chinese.

Major: Some majors do not support cross-major application, so students should first understand the requirements of the target major when applying.

GPA: Generally speaking, the GPA of fresh graduates depends on the GPA of the first three years of undergraduate course, and previous graduates depend on the GPA of the four years of university. The GPA of Hong Kong applying for Chinese is relatively stable at 3.5+. Of course, some students apply for the top three in Hong Kong, which requires specific analysis.

Language scores: IELTS/TOEFL scores are basically required for all majors in the Chinese University of Hong Kong. It is recommended that students with CET-4 and CET-6 certificates brush IELTS.

GRE/GMAT: This is not a compulsory project. Generally speaking, business majors need to improve their GRE/GMAT scores. Generally, when we do the entrance assessment, we will give suggestions according to the students' target majors. Although some professional officials do not require GRE/GMAT scores, having GRE/GMAT scores will really add points.
