The college has an undergraduate major in tea science, two directions in tea science and tea science (tea ceremony), and a master's degree authorization point (including master's degree in agricultural extension and in-service master's degree in college teachers). The construction of professional discipline platform has achieved remarkable results. With the strong support of the school and Longrun Group, the college has improved the construction of the experimental center of tea science teaching, and newly built characteristic teaching places such as tea culture laboratory and tea tasting room, and six practical teaching bases on campus 1 and off campus, which provide a good platform for the cultivation of professional talents.

In addition, in order to adapt to the development of Yunnan tea industry and make Pu 'er tea stronger and better, Yunnan Pu 'er Tea Research Institute and National Pu 'er Tea Certification Center were established with the approval of relevant departments, which not only played an important role in the leap-forward development of Yunnan tea industry, but also played a positive role in promoting the talent training of the college.
