Dazhen of Confucius Institute in Korea
On July 20, 2007, Hanban signed a formal agreement with Dazhen University in Korea to jointly build the Confucius Institute at Dazhen University. 1 1 In June, the Confucius Institute was unveiled and officially started operation.

Dazhen University is located in Gyeonggi Province, north of Seoul, South Korea. Founded in 1992, the school is the only four-year comprehensive university in the north of Gyeonggi Province. It has 6 one-year universities, 6 graduate schools, 15 affiliated institutions, 16 affiliated research institutions, 1 industry-university cooperation group, and * * * has 165438+ students. In 2005, the school established the earliest overseas campuses of China-Harbin Normal University Campus and Suzhou University Campus. This project has been strongly supported by the Korean Ministry of Education, and now more than 1700 students have studied Chinese and China culture in these two schools. From 65438 to 0996, the school set up a Chinese department with 250 students, and established a recognition system for mutual recognition of credits with sister schools in China. In 2004, China Department received 3,000 books from Korean Sanlian Bookstore, and jointly held a monthly special lecture on China Studies to talk about China's economy and culture.

For the convenience of China enthusiasts and Korean people who care about China's language and culture, the Confucius Institute chose to build a school building in the office building opposite the central government subway station in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea, which is the only Confucius Institute built outside the university campus in South Korea.

Authorized by Hanban, Harbin Normal University, as the specific executing agency, cooperated with Dazhen University to build the Confucius Institute. As a window of cultural exchange between China and South Korea, the Confucius Institute at Dazhen University will strive to make positive contributions to the cultural exchange between China and South Korea.
