I think this behavior of the school is extremely unreasonable.
First of all, judging from this incident, the copyright owner of this film should be its author Zhu Hang, that is to say, Zhu Hang has the right to decide whether the work is open or not, and whether the work can be made into one or more copies by printing, copying, rubbing, recording, video recording, remaking, and so on. Now it is obvious that the school has exercised this right without telling me, which is even more unreasonable.
Furthermore, Article 22 of China's Copyright Law clearly stipulates that the works of copyright owners can only be used for teaching or scientific research, classroom teaching or scientific research in schools, and a small amount of translation or reproduction may not be published. It is obvious that universities have violated this regulation by selling students' works privately.
Schools should be places to teach and educate people, not places to use students to seek benefits. In fact, there are many similar incidents in domestic universities at present, among which there are many phenomena that schools withhold students' diplomas or related certificates for the benefit. When they see their students' achievements, the relevant personnel of the school should be proud of them, instead of trying to steal their achievements and seek their own interests.
Recalling campus life, we all like to call our school "Alma Mater". There should be a close relationship between students and schools, but what we see is that both sides go to court for the benefit. At present, schools and students urgently need to build bridges of trust. The school sincerely considers the students' future, and the students strive to add a luster to their alma mater, truly saying, "Today I am proud of my alma mater, and tomorrow my alma mater will be proud of me."
More trust can make the relationship between students and schools more harmonious, and let us remember in our future campus life that we are full of teachers' kindness and classmates' friendship, instead of intrigue and pursuit of fame and fortune.
