Advantages of college students doing part-time jobs

People have different views on the advantages and disadvantages of college students taking part-time jobs. Some people think that doing part-time jobs can bring us benefits, while others think that doing part-time jobs will mislead us and distract us from our studies. As for me, I agree with the former view, because its advantages outweigh its disadvantages.

There are many reasons behind my belief. First of all, we college students can promote our study by doing part-time jobs. For example, if we find a part-time job related to our major, this practice will make us better understand what we have learned from books. More importantly, doing part-time jobs can provide us with opportunities to go beyond what we have learned in class, and we may even learn something that doesn't exist in books, but in practice.

Secondly, we can accumulate work experience through part-time jobs, which is more or less beneficial for them to find jobs in the future. In fact, doing part-time job is a way to prepare for full-time job in the future. Besides, as we know, our graduates are usually rejected by the company because of their lack of practical work experience. If we accumulate experience in the process of doing part-time jobs, we will be more likely to succeed in job hunting.

Last but not least, doing part-time jobs will partially reduce the financial burden on families, especially those poor families who can't afford college tuition. For example, the registration fee and living expenses make our university life so expensive that many students have to lose the opportunity to enter the university. If we find a part-time job in our college, we can lighten the burden on our family and make proper use of it in our life.

From the above, we can draw a conclusion that doing part-time jobs is beneficial to our life. If we take part-time jobs, we can combine the theory and practice we have learned from school. If we have part-time work experience, we will get job opportunities more easily. If we take part-time jobs, we can reduce the burden on our families. In a word, we can benefit a lot from doing part-time jobs.
