Jilin University, located in Changchun, the capital of Jilin Province, is a national key comprehensive university directly under the Ministry of Education. /kloc-0 was approved by the state education commission as the first batch of "Project 2 1 1" in 1995, and was listed as the "985 Project" national key university in 200 1 year. The current party secretary of the school is Professor Yang Zhenbin, and the current president is Li Yuanyuan (former president of South China University of Technology), both of whom are classified as central management. Jilin University was formed in June 2000 by the merger of Jilin University, Jilin University of Technology, Bethune Medical University, changchun university of science and technology and Changchun Institute of Posts and Telecommunications. On August 29th, 2004, the former China People's Liberation Army Quartermaster University was merged into Jilin University. The six schools before the merger had a glorious history. Jilin University, formerly known as Northeast Administration College, was founded in 1946. 1950 was renamed northeast Renmin university, which was the first comprehensive university founded by our party after the adjustment of 1952 departments. 1958 changed its name to Jilin University. From 65438 to 0960, Jilin University was listed as a national key university.
