Background of introducing national standard disciplines

The national standard of discipline classification and code of the People's Republic of China (hereinafter referred to as discipline classification and code) is the national standard of discipline classification in People's Republic of China (PRC) (No.GB/T 13745). This standard specifies the classification and codes of disciplines.

Approved by the State Bureau of Technical Supervision, proposed by the State Science and Technology Commission and the Bureau of Technical Supervision, drafted by China Institute of Standardization and Information Classification and Coding, Xi Jiaotong University and the Literature and Information Center of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, with the participation of the Comprehensive Planning Department of the State Science and Technology Commission and the Planning Bureau of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

The State Bureau of Technical Supervision officially issued the standard in Beijing on June 1 992 1 65438+1October/KLOC-0, namely GB/T13745-92,65438+July/KLOC-0. Revised in 2009, namely GB/T 13745-2009.

* * * There are 5 categories, 58 first-level disciplines, 573 two disciplines and nearly 6,000 third-level disciplines. The order of categories is: A natural science, code110-180; B agricultural science, code 2 10-240.

C medical science, code 310-360; D engineering and technology science, code 410-630; E humanities and social sciences, code 7 10-9 10. The corresponding five categories are used for science and technology statistics and do not appear in the standard.
