In terms of talent introduction, the government mainly takes measures to provide various preferential policies, such as subsidizing qualified professionals, providing accommodation subsidies for high-end talents and even directly providing accommodation apartments for qualified professionals to attract talents to come to work and develop. This time, Nanjing clearly stipulated in the purchase restriction that families who are not registered in Nanjing can obtain a master's degree or above without providing social security certificates. Compared with the conditions for non-Nanjing registered families to apply for house purchase, they are upgraded to pay social security or individual tax for two consecutive years or more in Nanjing within three years, and cannot buy a house after paying individual tax or social security. It is also a preferential policy for talents, which seems attractive to the introduction of talents, but in fact I don't think it is attractive.

With the development of economy and the improvement of living standards, house prices are rising. Buying a house has become a mountain for many young people. Not every family has the strength to pay a down payment to their children and buy a house directly after graduation. Most families with a master's degree or above can't afford to buy a house as soon as they graduate, and the newly graduated graduate students are also very uncertain about their jobs and future, and don't know where they will settle down in the future. After three or four years of work, graduate students or students with other academic qualifications, with stable careers, began to consider buying a house. At this time, they generally have social security payment certificates for several years in a row, and they are also eligible to buy a house in Nanjing. What's more, for talents with a master's degree or above, it is not a problem at all to have a company pay social security for them after working for a few years. Therefore, Nanjing does not need social security certificate to relax the restrictions on buying houses with master's degree or above, which is of little significance to promoting the introduction of government talents.

In my opinion, the introduction of government talents still depends on the development of local economy and provides a platform for talent development, so that professionals can display their talents locally, rather than relying on similar subsidies.
