Brief Introduction of Computer College of Communication University of China
China Communication University is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC), focusing on electronic information, with the coordinated development of arts, engineering, arts, management, economics, law and science. It is also a key university under the national "2 1 1 Engineering" and "985 Engineering Advantage Discipline Innovation Platform". Selected in "11plan", "Everest Plan", "201plan", "Key Research Base of Humanities and Social Sciences of Ministry of Education" and "National Postgraduate Program of Building High-level Universities". It is one of the first doctoral degree awarding units in China, awarded by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Finance and the Beijing Municipal People's Government. The school's predecessor was 1954 training course for technicians of the Central Broadcasting Bureau. 1April, 959, with the approval of the State Council, the school was upgraded to Beijing Broadcasting Institute. In August 2004, it was renamed China Communication University. The school has 4 research institutes, 7 first-class doctoral degree authorization points, 18 first-class master degree authorization points, 6 professional master degree categories and 6 postdoctoral mobile stations. Today's Communication University is making steady progress towards building a world-class university. Computer College of Communication University of China was established in 2002. In order to adapt to the rapid development of digitalization, networking and information technology of radio and television, meet the demand for compound talents combining information technology with radio and television technology in the all-media era, and promote the development of Communication University of China to a comprehensive, research-oriented and international high horizontal transmission University, on May 28th, 2002, a Computer (and Software) College was established on the basis of the Computer Science and Technology Department of the School of Information Engineering.
