Up to now, there are five universities in Xingtai, namely Xingtai University, Hebei Vocational College of Science and Technology Engineering, Xingtai Medical College, hebei mechanical and electrical Vocational and Technical College and Xingtai Vocational College of Applied Technology.

Xingtai University is located in Xingtai, a famous city in Zhao Yan and an ancient county, and is known as the "Millennium Capital". It is a full-time general undergraduate college which is jointly built by provinces and cities and is dominated by cities. Founded in 19 10, the school is the fourth junior normal school in Zhili. It is one of the earliest four normal schools in Hebei Province and has a glorious "three-pole" educational revolutionary tradition.

In March 2002, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, the school was upgraded to Xingtai University. On May 20 14, it successfully passed the qualification assessment of undergraduate teaching. On February 20 16, it was confirmed as a master's authorized construction unit. In September 2020, the school was approved by the Ministry of Education as the construction unit of China's outstanding traditional cultural heritage base (Yao Xing White Porcelain), and it will be 65,438 in 2020.
