Beijing Foreign Studies University, referred to as Beijing Foreign Studies University, is located in Beijing. It is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC), and has been selected into the national "985 Innovation Platform of Engineering Superiority Discipline" and "20 1 1 Plan".

The predecessor of Beijing Foreign Studies University was the Russian Brigade of the Third Branch of China People's Anti-Japanese Military and Political University, 194 1 was established in Yan 'an.
The predecessor of China People's Anti-Japanese Military and Political University is China People's Anti-Japanese Red Army University established in Ruijin, Jiangxi, which was founded in Wayaobao, northern Shaanxi, on June 1936.
1941March, in order to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the Soviet Union, the Russian team was established in the third branch of China People's Anti-Japanese Military and Political University in Yan 'an; Later, it developed into a Russian brigade (subordinate 1 team, team 2, team 3).
1June, 944, the English Department was added to the school, so it was renamed Yan 'an Foreign Language School. The school persisted in running under extremely difficult war conditions, trained a large number of military translators and foreign language talents for China * * * Production Party, and also reserved a number of foreign affairs cadres for New China.
1In August, 945, with the victory of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, the teachers and students of Yan 'an Foreign Language School left Yan 'an in batches for the liberated areas in North China and Northeast China.
1June, 946, the teachers and students of the foreign language cadre training class in Shanxi-Chahar-Hebei Military and Political Cadre School transferred to North China United University to establish a foreign language college together with the Foreign Languages Department of North China United University.
