Henan Polytechnic University, called Henan Polytechnic for short, is located in Jiaozuo City, Henan Province. It is a key university in Henan province, jointly established by the central and local governments, and mainly managed by local governments. It is also a university jointly established by the Henan Provincial People's Government and the former state administration of work safety.

The school has South Campus (No.2001Century Road, Jiaozuo City), North Campus (No.0/42 Jiefang Middle Road, Jiaozuo City) and West Campus (No.55 Jianshe West Road, Jiaozuo City). School motto: Mingde has the responsibility, and "Mingde has the responsibility" means to improve ideological and moral character and be brave in shouldering heavy responsibilities. "Mingde is responsible" is showing the character and pursuit of Henan Polytechnic University.
