This major is a national major and also a major in Jiangsu Province. It is the first batch of new concept art professional direction approved by the Ministry of Education, which is based on the development of urban design, public cultural design and new media art and is oriented to the whole country. The discipline development is based on the south of the Yangtze River, facing the whole country and keeping up with the forefront, forming a school-running concept based on modeling, supported by media, designed as a means and applied as a direction. Through systematic professional knowledge planning and concise characteristics, it has become one of the most representative, creative and influential public art majors in China.

Training objectives: Under the guidance of the concept of paying attention to international characteristics, China characteristics and times characteristics, through systematic and rigorous professional content and teaching methods, we will train compound, innovative and applied art design talents with the ability of system integration, technology expansion and social intervention to meet the urgent needs of modern urban space, living environment, new media art and other design fields.

Main courses: new media art, ceramic art design, glass art design, public sculpture design, architectural mural design, art facilities design, fiber art design, public art planning and design, and interdisciplinary design practice.

Graduation destination: I mainly go to colleges and universities, urban planning and construction departments, high-end architectural landscape and art industry institutions to engage in professional in-depth research, urban art planning and design, cultural soft decoration design, art product and project design and management.
