Parents' behavior is not allowed by law. If put into practice, it actually constitutes the crime of abandonment. Children can completely protect their rights and interests through legal means, and require both parents to pay half of the alimony.

After entering the university, if parents are unwilling to pay tuition and living expenses because they are adults, they can apply for a student loan to solve their urgent needs.

After arriving at the university, contact the class teacher directly to explain the situation, ask the school for help, and provide a job opportunity, preferably an opportunity to work in the canteen. Doing so can minimize the cost of eating.

If I am healthy, I can find a part-time job on ZFB, help run errands nearby, deliver things to others, and even go to the farmer's market to help unload goods on weekends to earn some living expenses.

In short, there is no way out when you go to college. After graduation, just get through it.
