Xiamen University was founded by Mr. Chen Jiageng, a patriotic overseas Chinese leader. It is the first university founded by overseas Chinese in the history of modern education in China, and one of the earliest universities in China to recruit graduate students. Xiamen University Malaysian Branch was established. It became the first university in China to build an independent campus overseas, and its early buildings were selected as the national key cultural relics protection units and the "first batch of 20th century architectural heritages in China", which was praised as "the strongest university in the South" and "the most beautiful university in China".

2. Fujian Normal University

Fujian Normal University is one of the earliest normal universities in China. Its predecessor was an excellent normal school in Fujian Province founded by the Qing emperor Chen Yu 1907. After several adjustments and mergers, South China Women's College of Arts and Sciences, Fujian Christian University, Fujian Normal University and other units established Fujian Normal University on 1953, and 1972 changed its name to Fujian Normal University.

3. Fuzhou University

Fuzhou University is a national "double-class" construction university, a national "2 1 1 project" construction university, a university jointly established by the Ministry of Education, the National Bureau of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense and the People's Government of Fujian Province, one of the three key high-level universities in Fujian Province, and a first-class university in Fujian Province.

It has been selected into the national public graduate program for building high-level universities, the first batch of outstanding engineer education and training programs of the Ministry of Education, new engineering research and practice projects, the "Hundred Schools Project" of Data China, the national "11plan", the "Promotion Plan of Internationalized Demonstration Colleges of Universities" and the national innovation and entrepreneurship training plan for college students.

As well as the first batch of demonstration universities in China to deepen the reform of innovation and entrepreneurship education, the scholarship receiving institutions of China government for overseas students in China, the national pilot unit for comprehensive reform of professional degree postgraduate education, the national integrated circuit talent training base, the first batch of universities' scientific and technological achievements transformation and technology transfer bases, and the national university intellectual property information service center.

4. Fuzhou Agriculture and Forestry University

Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University was established on the basis of Fujian Christian University Agricultural Science and Fujian Agricultural College 1936. 1952 The former Agricultural College of Xiamen University and the Agricultural College of Fuzhou University merged to form Fujian Agricultural College. From June 5438 to October 2000 10, the former Fujian Agricultural University merged with the former Fujian Forestry College to form a new Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University.

5. Huaqiao University

Huaqiao University, headquartered in Quanzhou, Fujian, directly under the leadership of the United Front Work Department of the Central Committee, is a comprehensive university jointly established by the United Front Work Department of the Central Committee, the Ministry of Education and the People's Government of Fujian Province, and has been designated as a "national key university" by the Central Committee.
