What good universities and majors do liberal arts students recommend to study in Singapore?
I. POLY (government polytechnic)

Singapore government institute of technology, equivalent to domestic universities, can work directly or continue their studies after graduation. It is famous for its practicality and high employment rate, and as the school with the most government grants in Singapore, international students of Polytechnic can enjoy grants as high as 80% of tuition fees, so many international students come to study every year!

There are five public polytechnics in Singapore: Singapore Polytechnic, Ang 'an Polytechnic, Temasek Polytechnic, Harmony Polytechnic and Nanyang Polytechnic. You can apply through the domestic college entrance examination results or take the new O-level exam.

Enter the government polytechnic through the O-level foundation course.

The application requirements of each school are different, but they are roughly the same. Let's take the Singapore Institute of Technology as an example to briefly introduce which school candidates can go to official website to check.

(1) college entrance examination results (fresh high school graduates can apply, usually the results need to reach two local admission lines, and both arts and sciences can apply) or O-level exam results (you can come to Singapore to study O-level preparatory classes first).

② IELTS TOEFL score (if any, not necessary)

③ You must take entrance examinations: English, mathematics, natural science (physical chemistry, liberal arts students don't have to take part) and interview.

Second, public universities.

There are currently five public universities in Singapore: National University of Singapore, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore Management University, Singapore University of Science and Technology and Singapore University of Science and Technology Design.

Application requirements

Students who scored 50 points above one line in the college entrance examination, scored at least 120 in English, and scored at least 6.0 in IELTS are more competitive in applying. Students in senior three can also apply if they have excellent grades in senior one and senior two and have IELTS scores. Students who win prizes in international Olympic competitions can also enter the school directly.

Don't be disappointed if you fail in the college entrance examination. Cambridge GCE "A-Level" is an entrance examination jointly organized by Singapore Ministry of Education and Cambridge University Examinations Authority. You can attend public universities in Singapore and universities in any Commonwealth country through A-level examination results. /kloc-Students over 0/7 years old who have completed Grade Two in China (but it is recommended that students who have completed Senior High School in China or achieved Grade Two in the College Entrance Examination apply) can apply for at least three courses after training in Singapore for one year.

Third, private universities.

Private universities in Singapore occupy an important position in Singapore's higher education system, and they are strictly controlled. There is no such thing as a diploma workshop. In 20 10, the Singapore government continued to launch a brand-new certification-edu trust certification, which is a watershed in Singapore's education industry, especially in the field of non-public education. EDU-Trust certification not only separates high-quality and unqualified institutions in essence, but also completely loses the enrollment qualification of non-certified institutions after the expiration of casetrust. Under the control of this system, the level of private universities is very high, the quality of teaching teachers is very high, and the teaching quality is guaranteed.

Famous private universities in Singapore include Kaplan, SIM, MDIS, PSB and JCU.

Admission requirements

Compared with public universities, the primary advantage of private universities in Singapore is the low entry threshold, which is a good choice for friends who have failed in the national college entrance examination or need to improve their professional skills at work. Generally speaking, you can apply if you have a domestic high school diploma (or college degree). If you haven't finished high school, you can also take the preparatory course first. The entrance examination is organized by the school itself, and the language requirements are relatively high. You can prepare IELTS scores in advance. Of course, the entrance examination of each school is different, so it is best to consult which school you want to enter in advance.
