The Excavation History of Fishing Town Site
From 2006 to 20 15, Chongqing Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology successively conducted rescue archaeological investigations and key excavations on the county cliff site, the northwest outer city tunnel, the folk houses, the Nanshuijun wharf, the strange gate, the Beiyicheng, the Nanwaichengdong, the Xiyicheng, the Jiukouguo site and the Fanjiayan site. In order to maximize the preservation of the historical, artistic and scientific value of the fishing town site. Chongqing Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology also cooperates closely with Peking University, Nanjing University and Sun Yat-sen University to carry out environmental archaeological research. In addition to using GPS to accurately locate and map cultural relics, aerial photography and three-dimensional scanning technology are also used to clean up and try to dig the ruins of Shuijun Wharf and Ziyi City Wall, so as to ensure the authenticity of cultural relics and restore the environment where the sites are located as much as possible.

In May, 2006, Chongqing Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology carried out a rescue cleaning and excavation of the Beiwaicheng Tunnel, which is located in the west of Maanshan, the northwest outer city of Fishing City. The tunnel is an underground passage dug by Mongolian (Yuan) army from north to south outside the city to conquer the fishing city, which is very close to the city.

From June 5438+ 10 to February 65438+2, 2006, Chongqing Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology carried out rescue cleaning and excavation of the site in the middle section of Dongxiziyi City, south of the fishing city. Through this archaeological excavation, it is confirmed that there is a word city in the east and west of the fishing city in the south of the city, and the historical truth that Erran, Wang Jian and Zhang Jue built the fishing city three times that year.

From July 2008 to June 10, Chongqing Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology carried out rescue cleaning and excavation on the sites of Ziyi Town and Qifenmen in the east outside the fishing city, and excavated the site of Xiaodongmen built in the middle of Dongyi city wall in different places in Qing Dynasty.

From September 2008 to February 65438, Chongqing Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology carried out rescue cleaning and excavation on the south section of the east side of Fishing Town and the dock of the Navy. The city wall of the south section of Dongyizi reaches Jialing River, with a length of 120m and a width of 14.3m, with an average height of 8m. On the west side of the southern end of the city wall, that is, the anchorage of the warships of the Fishing City Water Army.

20 10 February, Chongqing Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology carried out archaeological excavation on the dock site of Nanshui County in Song Dynasty, with a total construction area of over 8,000 square meters. Archaeological findings show that there are three groups of stone retaining walls *** 16, forming corresponding layers of platforms. On each platform, there are relics such as battery, stone pile, drainage ditch, and stone-level avenue. The whole wharf has the unique functions of consolidating river defense and providing logistics support.

The site is located in the west, covering an area of about 20 square meters, and is about 122 meters away from Jialing River in the south. The geographical coordinates are 30 00'12.1",east longitude10618' 25.5", and the altitude is about 209.

The site covers an area of about 20 square meters, with the central geographic coordinates of 30 00' 03.2 "north latitude and10618' 54.9" east longitude, with an altitude of about 259 meters and an orientation of 94.

20 1 1 From May to June, with the approval of National Cultural Heritage Administration, Chongqing Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology excavated the Jiukouguo site on the west rock of Yuzhen, and unearthed a total of 1 architectural sites in the Tang Dynasty and 2 architectural sites in the Southern Song Dynasty.

From September 20 1 1 year to June 201February, Chongqing Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology carried out a rescue excavation of the upper section of the west wall of the South Outer City. The site is located on the south side of Bao Dao Mountain with steep terrain. This excavation unearthed city walls, stone steps and forts, which reappeared the grand scale of the relatively independent key defense system in the upper part of the south and west of the city.

From 20 13 to 10, the archaeological excavation was carried out at the Fanjiayan site located in the second terrace in the west of Yucheng Town. At present, the exposed remains are mainly the base site, drainage system, roads, stone arch roof buildings and other ancillary facilities of two large high-rise buildings in the Song Dynasty with a residual height of nearly 6 meters, as well as building components such as ceramics, ironware, copper coins, plates and columns. The preliminary investigation found that there are important relics such as city walls, large courtyard buildings and high platform foundation sites, which are closely related to the upper section of the city wall of Nanyizi.
