Training objectives

By integrating the three first-class disciplines of ethnology, sociology and archaeology, we will promote the combination of humanities and social sciences, theory and practice, international vision and national consciousness, and cultivate professionals with comprehensive academic thinking and divergent social and cultural vision in key disciplines such as national unity and social governance, cross-border ethnic and frontier construction, globalization and national development, human behavior and social organization, and cultural heritage protection.
Cultivate characteristics
The undergraduate educational system of "children's class" adopts interdisciplinary teaching method, and the "2+2" phased educational system and double tutorial system are implemented in the professional teaching arrangement. The first and second grades are not divided into majors, and the large platform training mode of subject groups is implemented, aiming at breaking the barriers of disciplines and emphasizing the dependence and complementarity among several disciplines; After the third grade, students can freely choose their subjects and major directions. After graduation, you can apply for a bachelor's degree in ethnology, sociology, cultural relics and museum science and social work.
In the teaching mode, it is divided into three parts: classroom teaching, field training and technical learning. The "children's class" selects classic and important research topics from various majors for curriculum setting. The core courses offered involve introductory books on anthropology, sociology and archaeology, as well as basic courses such as social research methods, classical theory, modern social theory, cultural heritage, ethnology in China, cultural anthropology theory and archaeological anthropology. At the same time, it offers classic courses in the fields of politics, economy, religion, society and culture.

"Children's Class" brings together the best teachers' resources in the college and invites first-class experts inside and outside the school and overseas to teach. Teachers come from different majors and cross different disciplinary boundaries.

Through comprehensive education in related majors and in-depth study in specific directions, students of this major can be competent for the work of party and government organs, teaching and research institutions, social organizations, international organizations, enterprises, ethnic and religious affairs, cultural relics and museums, cultural creativity and cultural industries, cultural communication and new media. The experimental class strengthens the efforts to send graduate students abroad for further study and encourages students to continue their studies in various research fields.
