1985. According to the official announcement of China University Basketball Association, the Chinese University Basketball League was founded in 1985, referred to as "CUBAL". It is a five-a-side college basketball league in China sponsored by China University Sports Association, exclusively operated by Ali Sports and officially recognized by the Ministry of Education. 1996 alliance began to brew, and 1997 alliance charter was established.
