Russian Department of Shanghai International Studies University, formerly known as Shanghai Russian Institute, was founded in 1949. Russian Language and Literature, a discipline of Russian family, is a key discipline of the Ministry of Education and Shanghai, and it is the first discipline in China to be granted a doctorate in Russian language and literature (1983). He is also one of the sponsors and the first president of China Russian Teaching Research Association.
