China University of Mining and Technology, formerly known as Jiaozuo Road Mining School, was founded by Beijing Syndicate Co., Ltd. 1909. Jiaozuo Road and Mine School is one of the three private universities in the late Qing Dynasty and the only private engineering university run by foreigners. It is also the earliest mining institution of higher learning established in China and continues to this day, ranking among the earliest modern universities in China.

School teaching construction

From 2002 to September 20 16, China university of mining and technology won 6 national teaching achievement awards, 3 national excellent teaching materials awards, 7 national excellent courses, 14 national professional construction sites, 1 1 "pilot project of outstanding engineers of the Ministry of Education" and 3 pilot projects of comprehensive reform of the Ministry of Education.

There are 3 national experimental teaching demonstration centers, 1 national simulation experimental teaching centers and 1 national innovative experimental area for talent training mode. The school was selected as the pilot university of "National College Students' Innovative Experimental Plan" and "Excellent Engineer Education and Training Plan". A national demonstration base for scientific and technological innovation of college students has been built.
