1. Research background: With the popularization of undergraduate education, the number of college students is increasing. At present, college students in China generally have more spare time, especially full-time college students. In addition to the courses arranged by the school, the rest of the time is free to control. However, due to the different qualities of students, the use of spare time varies from person to person. Some college students with strong self-control will have their own plans and clear goals, pay more attention to learning knowledge, enrich their abilities and develop into talents needed by society in an all-round way. Other rambling classmates will waste their spare time and do meaningless things that will not help the future. Therefore, the use of college students' spare time needs to be solved urgently.

2. Research purpose: The purpose of the survey is to understand the current situation of college students' use of their spare time, whether they will be influenced by gender and choose different behaviors in their spare time, and to understand their cognition of their spare time, so as to help them arrange their spare time reasonably and orderly, improve the quality of their spare time and help them develop in a better direction.

3. Research methods: By means of questionnaire survey and statistical analysis, this paper analyzes and investigates the utilization of leisure time of college students in Hebei Province. Based on the investigation of some college students' leisure time utilization in the west campus of Hebei Agricultural University, this paper thinks about the present situation and problems of college students' leisure time utilization, analyzes the existing problems and puts forward some suggestions.
