Hebei University of Technology is not a 985 college. 1996, in the first batch of national "2 1 1 project" key construction universities. In 20/0/7, kloc was selected as a national "double-first-class" construction university, and in 2022, it was selected as a new round of national "double-first-class" construction university.

Hebei University of Technology was formerly Beiyang Technical School, which was founded in 1903. 195 1 merged with Beiyang university to become Tianjin university, rebuilt in 1958, and was named Hebei university of technology in 1995.
