Let me tell you something intuitive.

Once you encounter a negative number, add a 0 before the negative number, which looks better.

take for example

(- 10)+(+6)=0- 10+6=-4

(- 1/3)+5/2=0- 1/3+5/2=5/2- 1/3= 13/6

Or, if you see a negative number, put it behind you.

For example,-10+6=6- 10.

Or simply remove the negative sign.

- 10+6=-( 10-6)
